With a gathering of intentions, form shapes and senses from the coastline of A’ Mhaoil (The Minch), in growth with soil on Northern An t-eilean Sgitheanach (Isle of Skye), with bodies of water claimed by loon songs in Mni Sóta Maḳoce (Minnesota), while hosting a sheltered return to where it traverses and borders ancestral homes from Kham to Chengdu, Sichuan.

A humble beginning, as one sustains a growing protection in place, amidst composting the complexity of witnessing, of forms of governance, cultures of complicity, and patterns of extraction.

There will be stories that are part of what’s being conserved, restored, and are co-evolving; stories of the process in building a continuous and physical abode with sacred relations; and stories of taking part in protection, through shared refuge, for the cultures and languages threatened.

In art making, one facilitates the reconciliation and reclaiming of received and invented technologies, by encoding objects of relations with dynamic and sentient systems in place, forging terms for remembrance of trans-generational markings carried and sensed in home geographies.

I hope to share efforts here, of practices in life and art, in being with the depth of what aligns fields of living and making, and to heal what alienates, together. Reflections will engage time through relations in what one has made and will be making, from moving image, film installations, sound, performances, and paintings.
